AIM:
To minimize the spread of Human Immunodefiency Virus (HIV) and other communicable diseases such as Hepatitis amongst Intravenous Drug Users, (IDUs) whilst optimizing their
health.
OBJECTIVES:
To reduce the practice of sharing needles and syringes and other high risk behaviours by IDU's. To promote safer sex practices and increase the use of condoms by IDU's. To promote safer drug use techniques which improve the overall
health status of IDU's.
